Jennifer's comments re Ms Paxton are exactly right, and I despair over the non-Biblical and hateful comments Ms Paxton is facing that in no way reflect our loving Lord, nor represent His body the church.

One of the many reasons I left the SBC Mega church system Got tired of the shame heaped on divorced women, even when they were not at fault

I left too long after thinking I needed to hide burner phones in the bathrooms in case I needed to lock myself in and call for help.

My ex did such a good job of being an entirely different and godly man at church and was quite charming to others (like he’d been to me before we got married) that I didn’t feel like I could go to that church anymore.

I lost friends I’d had for decades when they took his side—asking him what happened instead of me, even though I told them he’d been abusive.

Too many so-called believers get stuck on the outward appearances of being “biblical”. They’re caught up in what they think a Christian should LOOK like and become incredibly self-righteous.

People can be awful to those who need support and kindness.

I may just have some feelings on the subject. 🤔
