The Jenn & Becca Podcast + Defiant Joy!
I've teamed up with my friend, Rebecca Santos, to launch a weekly podcast, plus my book, Defiant Joy, is on sale!
I hope you are doing well! I have several new articles in the works, so please stay tuned. One tackles the topic of Who Should Christians Vote For? When both parties have serious moral failings, and news media reports are clouded by agendas, how do we sort what’s true from what’s propaganda, and what’s right from what’s wrong? How can we vote with a clear conscience?
Another piece I’m working on is, Can Lawson Be Redeemed? As you may have heard, Pastor Steven J. Lawson (formerly of Trinity Bible Church, OnePassion Ministries, Ligonier, and The Master’s Seminary) has been relieved of all ministerial duties following revelations of an extramarital relationship.
These pieces should be coming up in a few weeks’ time. Unfortunately, we’ve had a virus going through our family. So far, I’ve managed to avoid getting sick, but my husband and kids have been miserable. Subsequently, I am overextended and sleep-deprived, which has somewhat impeded the alacrity of my brain. As Bilbo said, “I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.” Hopefully next week I’ll have ample time to write.
Meanwhile, I’m also working on a rather exciting criminal case with law enforcement that I’m hoping will lead to an arrest soon. If and when that happens I’ll be sure to let you know. It’s a complex and unpredictable situation, so please pray for solid evidence, truthful testimony, and justice for victims.
The Jenn & Becca Podcast
I am very pleased to announce the launch of a new podcast with my beautiful friend, Rebecca Santos, of The Bold Advocate. She’s a fellow mother, wife, and child abuse survivor. Becca’s story is disturbing and absolutely heartbreaking, yet Jesus sustained her faith despite the betrayals, lies, and manipulation of her parents. Today, Becca is a homeschooling mom who also happens to be tech savvy, so she’s graciously offered to record our conversations and produce a slick little podcast for us. Thank you, Becca!
You can listen to The Jenn & Becca Podcast, here. Be sure that you subscribe to get notified as new episodes go live weekly.
In our first episodes, Becca and I have covered all kinds of interesting ground. Of course, no one paying any attention to the news can say 2024 has been uneventful. We’ve actually had to carefully select which explosive stories and issues to tackle!
Just in the past few weeks we’ve discussed the firing of Pastor Steve Lawson for alleged infidelity, the absolutely heinous charges against Sean “Diddy” Combs, a story out of Colorado in which a mother was jailed for protecting her kids from her abusive ex, and of course the Presidential election.
On future episodes of The Jenn and Becca Podcast, we’ll dive into hard-hitting realities from true crime to church politics. We’ll explore trending news stories, child advocacy, abuse prevention, and continue to shine the light of faith into dark places. Our mission is to raise awareness, inspire action, and offer hope at the intersection of crime, coffee, and Christ.
My Newest Book, Defiant Joy
In other news, my book, Defiant Joy, is currently on sale. In fact, you can grab a digital copy for just $1.99 on BookHub, Amazon Kindle, and other digital book platforms. If you’ve already read (or listened to!) Defiant Joy, please consider leaving a review and sharing on social media.
I hope you enjoy the podcast and my book. If you have any suggestions for topics Becca and I should cover in future episodes, please leave a comment below!
Much love,
Jenn
Reader Reviews of Defiant Joy:
“When you’ve experienced deep pain and then find the joy of the Lord, everything changes. For many years in my life I didn’t know how to experience joy until The Holy Spirit walked me to my healing found only in Jesus. Much of this book echoed what Jesus has taught me and I appreciated reading it. I recommend it to anyone who has been raised in religious legalism, anyone who has experienced trauma, anyone seeking to experience the joy of the Lord!” — Alicia
“Jennifer Greenberg followed up her first book Not Forsaken with a second title that smashed my expectations, called Defiant Joy! Jennifer does a great job of explaining how God wants you to get real with him. She wants you to discover what true freedom is and help you move beyond performance. But warning to those who function in false humility, this book will challenge that behavior.” — Mark
“So beautifully written and full of Jesus love and grace and truth. Truth and compassion, grace and honesty. This was the sister voice I always needed to say it’s ok and it going to be ok.” — Mary
